Fermont a été conçue pour accueillir les travailleurs du Mont-Wright, situé en région subarctique du Québec. Fermont possède un bâtiment mur-écran conçu pour défléchir les vents du nord-ouest afin de protéger l’espace urbain et créer un microclimat. S’adaptant à l’environnement, la ville incarne une idéologie de l’architecture nordique.

 

Fermont was developed to accommodate the workers of Mont-Wright in the subarctic region of Quebec. Fermont has a wall-screen building that deflects the northwesterly wind protecting the urban space and creating a microclimate. Adapting to the environment, the city embodies an ideology of northern settlement.
